Details of one of my pieces from a few years ago: Gam Glams.
Old Iron
I'm going to look at an Oliver 399 (18" planer) this weekend. Perhaps the 166 will have a big sister.
Working with Shop Sawn Veneer...Again
More veneer fun. Edge gluing two wedges together using a clamping jig. The three circular things are cam clamps which provide the clamping force. The setup isn't pretty, but it works quite well.
Furnituremaker's Notebook
My fully restored Oliver 166 jointer. It was originally made by Oliver Machinery Company in Grand Rapids, MI in 1943. Ready for another lifetime of use.
Furnituremaker's Notebook
Truing up the edges of the wedges with a low angle jack plane, in preparation for gluing the wedges together.
