With the legs and stretchers glued up, it's time to shape the transition from leg to stretcher. I really enjoy using this small, curved-sole spokeshave for this shaping. It is small enough to get into some fairly tight places.

And here is that three-way joint, fit and ready for shaping of the parts before assembly.

And here is the three-way spline, after cleanup and some fitting, inserted into one of three curved stretchers. The hand (mine) gives a sense of scale. It's a tiny little thing, kind of cute.
