With all of the curvyness on this sideboard, patterns are really useful. These three have seen a good deal of use the past few days. I use solid material for patterns, usually remnants of shop sawn veneer or slightly thicker stock. I prefer solid to engineered materials because I use hand tools to shape them and really don't like to use hand tools on mdf, plywood, etc.
