Here is the quartersawn beech from yesterday. It's a beautiful, quiet material. Nice color as well. I also like the smell, subtle but distinct.

I've been milling and resawing drawer parts - sides and backs - from quartersawn beech.
Teamwork
I'm milling some beautiful, clear, straight-grained walnut for a casepiece I'm working on. I find this step to be somewhat stressful as you never know how the wood will react once you start slicing thick material into smaller parts. There is some stress in some of this walnut, but I'm working with it. And it's working with me. And everything is really good right now.

Drawer Pulls
It is time to think about pulls for these drawers. I keep a few small boxes around that contain pulls in various states of completion. I think I have two bubinga pulls that will work splendidly.
