The table mockup is complete. One of the legs is an actual prototype, the other two are just 2d representations (made of 3/4" MDF). My main focus and concern at this point is getting the shape of the leg right, hence the unfinished mockup. Livvie is bored with the whole thing.
Shaping a Template for a Table Leg
Leg template round 2. The first mockup of this side table was dismissed, so its time for a bit of redesign. Lack of progress, but that's the whole point of this mockup game. When shaping a profile on thin stock, it's sometimes easier to keep a square edge by working with the stock held flat on a raised surface and a block plane rotated onto its side on the bench top. Vary the thickness of the raised surface to use different areas of the plane iron.
