In Time

A clock that is big on curves, In Time is made of beautifully figured cherry and rosewood accents. The curved parts were made with a variety of methods: steam bending, bent lamination, coopering (yes, like a whiskey barrel), and hot pipe bending.

Hidden behind the curved door on the left side are four tiny drawers meant to hold those meaningful little things gleaned over time.

This piece was awarded Honorable Mention in Craft at Art of the State 2014, a statewide juried art exhibit at the State Museum of Pennsylvania.
